SINOx® plate SCR catalysts and extruded SINOx® honeycomb SCR catalysts are used worldwide for robust control of nitrogen oxides (NOx). These catalysts are preferred by power generating facilities because they can handle a wide variety of clean and dirty fuels as well as varying dust loads. Outstanding features of Johnson Matthey SCR catalysts are high erosion resistance, low SO2 to SO3 conversion rates and high mercury oxidation rates. Since 1987, SINOx catalysts have reduced millions of tons of NOx. Over one million cubic meters of plate and extruded honeycomb catalysts have been installed worldwide, establishing Johnson Matthey as a leading catalyst supplier.
Johnson Matthey SINOx SCR catalyst technology can reduce NOx with an efficiency of more than 90%. SINOx SCR catalyst is engineered to be chemically resistant and mechanically durable to withstand the harsh operating conditions characteristic of coal combustion. SINOx SCR catalysts have been installed in high-dust, low-dust and in tail-end configurations in new plants, as retrofit and in plants with limited space. And Johnson Matthey can perform fuel analysis to tailor the catalyst formulation to each application.
